2023 BMW X3 vs 2022 BMW X3

Serving Chattanooga, TN

In 2022, the impressive BMW X3 was updated with a mid-year refresh, and these improvements continue to be displayed in the 2023 model year. In addition, the 2023 BMW X3 has a few other subtle improvements that can upgrade your time behind the wheel. We stand committed to the satisfaction of our valued customers, and our BMW of Chattanooga associates are thrilled to help you discover all that the 2023 and 2022 BMW X3 offer.

Performance

The capabilities of this small luxury crossover SUV have stayed the same between 2022 and 2023. The first and second trim options, the sDrive30i and the xDrive30i benefit from 248 horsepower generated by a four-cylinder, turbo 2.0-liter engine. The top M40i trim receives 382 horsepower from its V6, 3.0-liter, mild-hybrid engine. The sDrive30i has a rear-wheel-drive system; all-wheel drive is standard for the other two trims. All trims for 2022 and 2023 are loaded with an eight-speed auto transmission. With the Dynamic Handling package available for both years, the X3's performance is boosted by adaptive suspension dampers and adaptive steering.

Appearance

Because the X3's design was enhanced in the middle of the 2022 model year, there are no updates to its exterior in 2023. The BMW X3 has a regal quality with several horizontal accent bars crossing the sides and a rolling shape over the roof and the defined hood. A creased bumper and deep, triangular vents distinguish the nose. The two-segment grille is dressed with vertical bars, and the exquisite headlights have double, C-shaped LED elements. For both years, the X3 may come with up to 21-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, a power liftgate, and auto-dimming side-view mirrors.

Features

A comparison of the interior of the 2022 and 2023 X3 reveals an updated infotainment system. In both years, the BMW X3 has standard or optional equipment like a tri-zone auto climate management system, simulated or authentic leather seats, front and rear parking sensors, a navigation system, a 12-speaker sound system or better, remote vehicle monitoring, wireless smart device app connectivity, keyless entry, a lane departure alert, a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, heated seats in both rows, adaptive cruise control, and several additional elite features.
