The 2023 BMW 4 Series has two powertrain options. The first two of the four trims receive 255 horsepower from a four-cylinder, turbo 2.0-liter engine and have rear-wheel drive. The upper two trims draw 382 horsepower from a six-cylinder, turbo 3.0-liter engine with all-wheel drive. Both are paired with an auto eight-speed transmission. The 2023 5 Series has two gas engine possibilities. These are a 248-horsepower, four-cylinder or a 255-horsepower, V6 turbo system. This model also has a turbo V8 PHEV that offers 523 total horsepower.

Appearance

Whether you select the 2023 BMW 4 Series coupe or convertible, your car will stand out with its kidney-shaped grille that stretches from the top to the bottom of the nose. The front end's style is complete with powerful air vents and enviable headlights with U-shaped LED ribbons. Across the sides, a deep accent runs through the doors, and the back fenders have striking definition. The 5 Series sedan has a short grille with equally powerful air vents and a pair of L-shaped LED ribbons in the headlights. The sides have an elegant look with two sharp, linear accents.

There are notable differences between the features offered in these BMW cars.
