2020 BMW X5 vs 2019 BMW X5

Serving Chattanooga, TN

For more than 20 years, the BMW X5 has been a preferred sports activity vehicle for drivers in the Chattanooga area. In 2019, this midsize crossover SUV ushered in its fourth generation with the infusion of fresh styling elements, enhanced performance abilities, and more. BMW continued to elevate the X5's driving experience for 2020 by making one critical improvement. After you get to know the X5's features and capabilities, you can stop by BMW of Chattanooga to appreciate the X5 in person through a test drive.

Performance

The most significant improvement that has been made to the BMW X5 between 2019 and 2020 is found under the hood. For 2020, BMW introduces the M50i trim level to its line, and this new trim level has a V8 that aims to impress you with its 523-horsepower rating. The M50i trim level joins three core models that are unchanged between 2019 and 2020. Two of the trim levels receive 335 horsepower from a twin-power turbo I-6, 3.0-liter engine. The other core trim level receives 456 horsepower from a twin-power turbo V8, 4.4-liter engine. Some trims are outfitted with intelligent all-wheel drive, xDrive, and other exciting features.

Appearance

Across the X5's exterior, there are no noticeable differences between the 2019 and 2020 model years. From front to rear, the X5 exudes confidence while maintaining its athletic edge. The elegant, two-piece grille at the front is accompanied by angled LED headlights that show off dual bulbs and an upper LED light bar. The four-bulb foglamps and mesh-style backing on the lower air vents to the crisp accent lines that flow across the sides, the X5 has looks that get noticed on Chattanooga's roads.

Features

Across the full trim line for the 2019 and 2020 BMW X5, there are no significant changes to the models that carry over. Inside the cabin, you could take advantage of leather material, a color display screen for the MBUX system, a navigation system, a digital screen for the driver's gauges, mounted tabs on the leather-wrapped steering wheel, a split liftgate with power operation, a panoramic sunroof, a dual-zone climate management feature and numerous other items that you can fully appreciate on every trip that you take in the X5.
