The 2021 BMW X3 offers enough power to tow a trailer, plus the kind of drivetrain that'll help you stay safe when there's snow in the forecast. Its twin turbo 3.0L V6 makes your SUV feel like a sports car, with 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque.

The Lexus RX 350 also features a V6 engine, but it's not as much fun to drive. The 3.5L engine is the only powertrain available, and it only delivers 295 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque.

Both SUVs come with an 8-speed automatic transmission and offer all-wheel drive. While they're both capable in tough conditions, the X3 can also help you make fewer stops for gas.
