Even if you've never changed a flat tire before, it's not difficult to do it for the first time. If you find yourself on the side of the road with a flat, let BMW of Chattanooga walk you through the steps.
- Your lugs nut will need to be removed in order to remove your flat. You can access them underneath your wheel cover, which should pop right off with a little effort.
- Loosen the lug nuts, but you don't want to completely take them off just yet.
- Use your jack stand to raise the vehicle slowly off the ground.
- Remove the lug nuts completely so you can remove the tire.
- Replace your flat tire with a spare tire that can transport you to the nearest tire center.
- Put the lug nuts back on, and lower the vehicle before tightening them all the way.
