What's New for the 2024 BMW X5?

All 2024 BMW X5 trim levels display updated front and rear designs. At the front, the lower fascia has a squared-off look, a three-sided chrome accent bar on the bumper, and a sharp definition that angles into the tall air vents. The two-element LED headlights have a dark, piercing look. They flank the uniquely shaped grille. At the rear, the X5's bumper is molded with a defined skid plate. The 2024 BMW X5 also benefits from enhanced capabilities across its available engines. The turbo V6, 3.0-liter engine standard in the first two trims now generates 375 horsepower. It features an eight-speed auto transmission and adaptive suspension dampers. Options for these trims are upgraded brakes and an air suspension. The xDrive50e's plug-in hybrid engine now produces more power and has a more extended all-electric range. This is a turbo V6 gas engine system that includes an electric motor. The all-electric range is now 40 miles, and the output is 483 combined horsepower. The M60i trim for the 2024 X5 is unchanged under the hood. Its turbo 4.4-liter V8 gas engine continues to produce 523 horsepower. It also features all-wheel drive, a sport-tuned suspension, a sport differential, rear-wheel steering, sports exhaust, and sports brakes.

Across the 2024 X5's full trim line, no updates to the safety and cabin features have been made. Available features include a Bowers & Wilkins audio system with 20 speakers, a surround-view camera, automated parking, hands-free highway driving, emergency stop assist, customizable ambient lighting, leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, heated seats, a 14.9-inch infotainment system screen, a navigation system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, and others.
