What's New for the 2023 BMW iX?
The iX is an all-electric, midsize SUV that debuted in 2022. It boasts stunning capabilities and sophisticated features with eye-catching styling. While the iX is undeniably fresh and modern from every angle as a new addition to the lineup only last year, BMW has significantly improved for the 2023 model year. The iX M60 has been introduced as the top-of-the-line trim level. This trim has two electric motors to give you all-wheel drive and produces 610 horsepower. The other trim level’s performance capabilities are unchanged. This trim continues to have a dual-motor design with 516 horsepower. The battery range for both options is 288 miles. The Dynamic Handling package that is optional at the base level is standard in the new M60 trim. This package includes an adaptive air suspension and four-wheel steering.
The iX stands out on the road thanks to its commanding style, which is unchanged for the 2023 model year. The crossover has a chiseled, edgy look with crisp lines across the triangular air intakes on the nose and through the lower side panels. The kidney grille has a drop-down look, paired with razor-thin, angled headlights. The base trim comes with 20-inch wheels, a tinted panoramic sunroof, and a power liftgate. The new M60 trim adds soft-closing doors, 21-inch wheels, and all-season or performance tires.
The 2023 BMX iX is a two-row vehicle with considerable space for passenger seating and cargo room. The base-level features in the iX include the iDrive 8 infotainment system with a 14.9-inch touch display screen and a curved 12.3-inch driver’s display. The base trim also comes with synthetic leather, a navigation system, six USB ports, a wireless charging pad, wireless Apple CarPlay with Android Auto, automated parking, parking sensors, a lane departure warning, and other tech. Many of the features that are optional in the base trim are standard in the M60. Some of these are a wireless hotspot, wood veneers, a 30-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, massaging front seats, an interior camera, and others.
