Serving Chattanooga, TN

The captivating BMW iX debuted in 2022 as a standout in the lineup. This all-electric crossover SUV receives a few improvements for the 2026 model year. In 2025, for example, the iX is available with the xDrive50 and M60 trim levels. In 2026, the trim levels are the xDrive45, the xDrive60, and the M70. What are the other differences between the iX's 2025 and 2026 model years?

Performance

There's an all-new entry-level trim for 2026 known as the iX xDrive45. This model uses a dual-motor, 402-horsepower system. The 2025 iX xDrive50 is replaced by the new xDrive60, which also has two motors. The 2025 model offered 516 horsepower, and the 2026 model offers 536 hp and up to 364 miles of driving range. The new M70 in 2026 produces 650 horsepower, which beats the already impressive 610 hp created by the 2025 iX M60. As is true with the 2025 iX trim levels, all of the 2026 trim levels come with standard all-wheel drive.

Appearance

You will also notice updates to the iX's brilliant style in 2026, and these are most prominent on the nose. While the 2026 iX continues to have a kidney-style grille, it is now squared off. In addition, narrow, diagonal accent lines replace the previous mesh pattern. The bold air inlets framing the bumper rise up to highlight the slender headlights, which feature a pair of vertical, thick LED bars. From the side view, you can admire the pinstripe definition rounding over the front fenders and the stronger definition swelling over the rear fenders.

Features

The interior of the two-row iX introduces an updated infotainment system in 2026. The other features remain unchanged between 2025 and 2026. Both are available in microfiber loft or leather upholstery. They also come with integrated speakers in the front headrests, a Bowers & Wilkins sound system, a 14.9-inch central display screen, a curved display screen for the driver's instruments, a wireless hotspot, heated seats, a heated and hexagon-like steering wheel, parking sensors, auto emergency braking, lane keeping, a voice assistance, a panoramic sunroof and wireless smartphone connectivity.
