The elite BMW iX is an all-electric SUV with a decidedly contemporary design. Originally released in 2022, BMW has improved on the iX's perfection in recent years. In 2026, the iX benefits from an adjustment in trim levels, engineering upgrades and a modernized design. During the previous year, the BMW iX was offered in the xDrive50 and M60 trims. Now, the trim levels are the xDrive45, xDrive60, and M70.
The 2026 iX boasts an impressive driving range of 279 to 364 miles. The iX M70 features a dual-motor setup and generates 650 horsepower. It also offers an adjustable air suspension system and rear-wheel steering. The entry-level xDrive45 delivers an impressive 402 horsepower. The mid-range xDrive60 stands out with its top driving range of up to 364 miles and 536 hp. Every 2026 iX has all-wheel drive.
The updated design is remarkable with a refreshed front-end design. The brand's recognized, kidney-style grille stands across the full height of the nose and boasts squared-off corners. The captivating mesh design has tight, diagonal pinstripes. The sleek headlights display a pair of thick, angled LED bars. The air inlets rise upward to make a grand impression. The sides display crisp creases around the front fender. The rear wheels are defined by a powerful swell.
This five-seat SUV is well-appointed throughout its sophisticated interior.
