What's New for the 2025 BMW i7?

The BMW i7 is an elite all-electric sedan closely styled after the BMW 7 Series. The model debuted in 2023 and will introduce several mid-generation updates in 2025. Specifically, the availability of standard and optional features has changed.

For the eDrive50, the BMW i7 now has a standard panoramic sunroof with LED lighting. If you choose the xDrive60, your i7 will now have standard massaging seats in both rows and ventilated seats in the rear row for the first time. In addition, the features available in the Premium Package 2 from 2024 are now included in the Executive Package. These features are a 360-degree camera, park assist, and an illuminated grille.

Except for these changes, the BMW i7 is unchanged, stepping into the 2025 model year. The model has a lean, flowing design with pinstripe accents on the hood and prominent, angled accents running across the sides. The front end is distinguished by its tall, slightly squared-off grille. The headlights are comprised of two LED bands, and they are mounted above deep air inlets. Standard or available exterior features include two-tone paint, heat-reflecting glass, crystal-style headlights, power-opening and closing doors, up to 20-inch wheels, all-season tires, and more.

If you choose the i7's entry-level trim, which is the eDrive50, you will be pampered on the road by an impressive selection of standard features. These include wireless smartphone app connections, a panoramic sunroof, a four-zone climate control system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a 14.9-inch central display screen, a Bowers & Wilkins sound system, blind spot intervention, and other features. Higher trim levels and optional packages add a surround-view camera, lane centering, automated parking assistance, highway assistance, a 31-inch rear theater screen, an executive center console, and more.

Each of the three i7 trim levels has a different motor system. The base trim boasts a single electric motor that puts out 449 horsepower. Its range is 314 miles. The mid-level trim has a dual-motor design that generates 536 horsepower. Its range is 311 miles. The top-of-the-line i7 trim also has two motors. The output is 650 horsepower, and the range is 285 miles.
