What's New for the 2024 BMW 4 Series?

For Chattanooga drivers who demand the luxury and stellar performance of a BMW with the sportiness of a coupe, the BMW 4 Series requires a closer look. The 4 Series is designed as a two-door version of the 3 Series sedan, and it is available in both convertible and coupe body styles. While the 4 Series takes cues from the 3 Series, it is unique in exciting ways. The second generation of the 4 Series was introduced in 2021, and the 2024 4 Series is a mid-generation version with several updates.

The significant improvements to the 2024 BMW 4 Series are found inside the sophisticated cabin. The car now has a 14.9-inch touch display screen outfitted with the iDrive 8 infotainment system. This screen is housed with the driver's digital instrument panel in a single unit for an ultra-modern, fluid look. In addition to these improvements, the standard lever-style shifter in the 2023 4 Series has been replaced with a toggle switch.

The other cabin features are unchanged in the latest version of the 4 Series. These features may include a navigation system, voice recognition, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, remote engine start, heated and ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, a heated steering wheel, an automated parking system, a 360-degree camera, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, parking systems, a blind-spot detection system, and others. Exterior features for the 4 Series may include a sunroof in the coupe body style, heated and power-folding seats, 18-inch wheels or larger, performance tires, and a spoiler.

The 2024 BMW 4 Series is available in the same trim levels as the 2023 model year: the 430i, 430i xDrive, M440i, and M440i xDrive. The first two trim levels are loaded with a 255-horsepower, four-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbo engine. The top two trim levels have a 382-horsepower, V6, 3.0-liter engine. The xDrive models come with all-wheel drive. Select trims also have a sports suspension, adaptive dampers, a sport differential, and upgraded brakes.
