BMW i and TED are Teaming Up

BMW i and TED are collaborating on an innovative new contest. Their ultimate goal is to find visionaries with influential new ideas about the future of personal transport and mobility. The winners of the NextVisionaries competition will reveal their thoughts at the Frankfurt Motor Show and at TED’s New York theater in November. The winners will discuss their ideas at each event.

According to a press release from BMW, over the next four months a group of mentors will select the most inspiring, and cutting-edge proposals. Those interested in applying can submit their applications at www.nextvisionaries.com.

BMW i Ventures’ mission is to find initiatives and start-ups to develop and enact trailblazing new ideas. NextVisionaries is going one-step further to help BMW i Ventures achieve its goal. It is giving its front-runners a stage to enable the free exchange of their innovative ideas.

Lisa Choi Owens, Head of Global Partnerships at TED, agreed: “TED Talks give the most creative minds and their most fascinating ideas a way to reach curious audiences around the world. The collaboration with BMW i gives us the chance to unearth some of the most exciting new thinking in the field of mobility.”
